Job summary

Logan Property Management, headquartered in San Diego, seeks an Assistant Community Manager for Seaview Village Apartments (133-unit affordable housing). You will support daily property operations, deliver resident service, ensure compliance with HUD/LIHTC programs, and help maintain a welcoming, safe community.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with resident communications, inquiries, and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate move-in/move-out processes for residents.
  • Help coordinate and attend community events to foster a sense of community.
  • Support leasing processes by tours, applications, and documentation.
  • Monitor occupancy and assist with marketing and leasing strategies to maintain or increase occupancy.
  • Conduct lease renewals and manage retention efforts.
  • Coordinate with maintenance to ensure timely completion of work orders and inspections.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure safety and cleanliness.
  • Assist with rent collection and budget monitoring.
  • Prepare reports for regulatory agencies, management, and ownership.
  • Provide support to the Community Manager and team; act as Acting Manager in CM absence.

As the Assistant Community Manager, you play a key role in the successful operation of Seaview Village Apartments, a 133-unit affordable housing community. In partnership with the Community Manager, youare responsible forsupporting daily property operations, providing exceptional resident service,maintainingcompliance with affordable housing program requirements, and contributing to a safe, welcoming, and well-managed community.

This position requires professionalism, strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service while upholding Logan Property Management's standards, policies, and values.

Responsibilities:
  • Resident Relations
    • Assistwith the management of resident communications, including handling inquiries, resolving issues, and providing support as needed.
    • Facilitate the move-in and move-out processes, ensuring a smooth transition for residents.
    • Help coordinate and attend community events to foster a sense of community and enhance resident satisfaction.
  • Leasing and Occupancy
    • Support the leasing process by conducting property tours,assistingwith lease applications, and ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant with local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Monitor occupancy levels andassistin implementing marketing and leasing strategies tomaintainor increase occupancy rates.
    • Conduct lease renewals and manage resident retention efforts.
  • Property Maintenance
    • Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensuretimelyand effective completion of work orders, inspections, and property upkeep.
    • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure the communityremainssafe, clean, and well-maintained.
  • Financial Management
    • Assistwith rent collection and ensure compliance with rent payment policies.
    • Help manage the property’s budget bymonitoringexpenses, approving invoices, andassistingwith financial reporting.
    • Work with the Community Manager to develop and implement cost-effective strategies for property management.
  • Compliance and Reporting
    • Ensure compliance with all affordable housing regulations and guidelines, including HUD, LIHTC, and other applicable programs.
    • Maintainaccurateresident and property records, including leases, applications, and compliance documentation.
    • Assistwith the preparation of reports for regulatory agencies, management, and ownership.
  • Team Support
    • Provide support to the Community Manager and other team members in their roles, taking onadditionalresponsibilities as needed.
    • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of strategies to improve community operations.
    • Acting Manager in CM absence
    • Othertask as assigned

Working Conditions:

  • Travel: No travelrequired.

$23 - $26 an hour

  • $23.00–$26.00/hour (Non-Exempt), depending on experience and skill set
  • Rent-free onsite employee housing available (1- or 2-bedroom unit, based on availability)
