Job summary

Holman North Carolina is seeking an Assistant Controller for the onsite Accounting Office located at Autopark Honda in Cary, NC. The role oversees daily accounting activities, monthly closings, and coordination with centralized accounting to ensure data accuracy and strong internal controls.

You will prepare budgets, reforecasts, and analyze deviations while collaborating with multiple departments. A bachelor’s degree in accounting and 2+ years of experience are preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred but not required.
• 2+ years’ accounting experience.
• Experience with budgeting, financial statement preparation, and financial analysis.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications especially Excel, and Word.
• Ability to work independently and multi-task in a structured environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
• Oversee compliance in sales, finance, service and parts with centralized accounting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general accounting office and immediate supervision of office employees.
• Perform timely balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.
• Perform month and year end close and report to corporate office on a timely basis.
• Work closely with business units to prepare monthly budgets, quarterly reforecasts, and annual budgets.
• Collaborate with all departments in accounting and operations to ensure data accuracy.
