Red Tail Acquisitions is seeking an Asset Management Analyst in California to support performance monitoring, financial analysis, and reporting for the real estate portfolio. The role collaborates with Asset Management, Property Operations, and Finance to track performance against budget and underwriting, identifying variances and risks.

Ideal candidates are analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across financial, operational, and systems data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
• 1-3+ years of experience in asset management, real estate finance, financial analysis, or a related analytical role.
• Strong Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Solid understanding of real estate financial concepts (NOI, cap rates, cash flow, budgeting, variance analysis).
• Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze property and portfolio-level performance, including occupancy, revenue, NOI, expenses, and budget/actual variances.
• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual asset management reporting packages.
• Assist with annual budgeting, reforecasting, and business plan updates for assets across the portfolio.
• Track performance against underwriting assumptions and flag deviations for leadership review.
• Support capital project tracking, including budgets, timelines, and return-on-investment analysis.
