Purple Communications, Inc seeks qualified interpreters to provide high-quality American Sign Language interpretation on-site at customer locations. The role requires fluent ASL and spoken English, and adherence to the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.

The position is part-time/flex with benefits and flexible scheduling. Candidates should be able to travel as needed and pass an interpretation skills assessment.

Formación

• Fluent ASL and spoken English language skills.
• Able to provide accurate interpretation.
• Good understanding of Deaf culture.
• Thorough knowledge of and adherence to the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.
• Three to five years of experience in interpreting (preferred).
• State licensure or state required credentials as applicable.
• You must be 18 years or older to apply.

Responsabilidades

• Provide effective onsite interpreting for consumers
• Support and model the company's mission and values
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a respectful and professional attitude with customers and colleagues
• Exhibit professional behavior at all times including punctuality and preparedness for shifts, respectful and collaborative interaction with colleagues and supervisors, and timely and accurate record keeping
• Adhere to all policies and procedures as outlined by the company
• Participate in company-sponsored training for Professional Development
• Possess the ability to work effectively in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to independently travel. Where driving is required, access to a vehicle, valid driver's license and required insurance.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in all settings
