Qualifications

• Proficiency in English and American Sign Language.
• One or more years of professional interpreting experience.
• Must hold at least one American Sign Language certification (RID / EIPA 3.7+ / BEI).
• State license where applicable and valid résumé in English.
• Ability to travel to onsite assignments and meet health/immunization requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate consecutive interpretation between English and ASL onsite.
• Provide remote interpretation by phone or video when required.
• Follow interpreter protocols, client requirements, and professional standards.
• Maintain confidentiality, privacy, and data-protection per client rules.
• Interact professionally with clients, patients, and other participants.
• Maintain language proficiency and subject-matter knowledge for assignments.
