Job summary

Propio Language Services in Florida is seeking qualified American Sign Language interpreters for onsite contracts in the Manatee County area. The role involves providing consecutive interpretation between English and ASL for on-site assignments and may include remote interpretation by phone or video when applicable.

Ideal candidates will be fluent in English and ASL, hold at least one ASL certification, and be willing to travel to assignments.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.
Professional proficiency in English and American Sign Language.
Ability to accurately interpret between English and American Sign Language.
Hold at least one American Sign Language certification (RID, EIPA 3.7+, BEI).
State-specific ASL interpreting license where applicable.
Résumé in English submitted during application.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Ability to travel to onsite assignments.
One or more years of professional interpreting experience.

Responsibilities

Provide accurate and professional consecutive interpretation on onsite assignments.
Provide remote interpretation by telephone or video when applicable.
Follow interpreter protocols, professional standards, and client requirements.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy, security, and ethics requirements.
Maintain professional language proficiency and subject-matter knowledge for assignments.
