Busch Vacuum Solutions in Virginia Beach is seeking an Accounts Payable Team Lead to drive consistent AP processes, coach the team, and resolve complex invoice issues at our U.S. headquarters.

You will ensure accurate coding, timely payments, and strong internal controls in a hands‑on leadership role. The role partners with Purchasing, Receiving, Accounting, and vendors to streamline procedures, supports SAP S/4HANA deployments, and promotes continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of Accounts Payable experience and related accounting background.
• Experience resolving complex invoice and payment issues.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PDF software.
• Manufacturing or high-volume environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Align daily AP activities to support consistent processes and deadlines.
• Coach and guide team members to improve accuracy and knowledge sharing.
• Reinforce procedures, internal controls, and coding standards.
• Review high‑risk transactions and determine resolution or escalation.
• Research recurring issues and coordinate corrective actions.
• Develop SOPs, checklists, and training materials for core AP activities.
• Support testing and implementation of SAP S/4HANA and related workflows.
• Process and review PO/non‑PO invoices in SAP S/4HANA with accuracy.
• Assist with payment proposals for ACH, wire, checks, and foreign payments.
• Support month‑end close, aging reviews, and reconciliations.
• Ensure segregation of duties and vendor master controls are maintained.
