Job summary

Med-National Staffing Inc. is recruiting a Controls Technician for Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. The role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, calibrating, and repairing electrical and automated control systems using PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and related networks.

You will interpret schematics, perform preventive maintenance, and support baggage handling and associated control systems in a busy airport environment. On-call work and three 12-hour/one six-hour shift patterns are required.

Qualifications

Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles daily.
U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain airport security clearance.
Knowledge of electrical and automated control systems; PLC/HMI expertise.
Experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and motor controls.
Ability to read electrical schematics and technical docs.

Responsibilities

Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and operate electrical and automated control systems.
Diagnose faults involving PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, relays, and motor controls.
Monitor status and trends to identify problems and prevent downtime.
Read schematics and control drawings; perform preventive maintenance.
Coordinate with operations, engineering, customers, vendors, and contractors.
Provide on-call service and support; ensure safety and housekeeping.
