Job summary

RTX is seeking a reliability-focused intern in Tucson, AZ to support systems design, integration, and testing. You will analyze failure data, perform reliability modeling, and collaborate with design, manufacturing, and test teams to improve performance and lifetime of aerospace systems.

The role is onsite in Tucson with a focus on learning and contributing to reliability strategies, MTBF concepts, and root-cause analysis within a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in STEM and enrolled through the internship.
• Must have at least 30 hours of credit by the start of the internship/co-op session.
• Academic, engineering club, or internship experience that includes reliability and root cause failure analysis.

Responsibilities

• Work on a reliability team to support systems design, integration, and/or test.
• Implement strategies to improve the reliability, availability, and maintainability of systems or equipment.
• Use data (failures, test results, field reports) to identify patterns and root causes of reliability issues.
• Performs reliability modeling and predictions using Weibull analysis, FMEA, FMECAs, and fault tree analysis.
• Works closely with systems engineers, design engineers, manufacturing, and test teams to drive reliability into the product.
