Job summary

RTX seeks a Quality Engineer intern for its onsite program in Tucson, AZ. You will learn to be the Quality interface, support continuous improvement, and help ensure programs meet customer objectives while working with cross-functional teams.

The internship/co-op offers exposure to lean/agile methodologies, root cause analysis, and supplier interface, with a path to ongoing opportunities at RTX for motivated students.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering or closely related STEM major and actively enrolled through completion of the internship / co‑op session.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co‑op session.
• Education/Experience with Quality and Mission Assurance processes and tools
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• As a Quality Engineer intern, you will acquire an understanding of what is required to be the Quality interface and drive overall quality performance including continuous improvement and implementation of lean/agile methodologies. You will help to ensure programs meet customer objectives by working closely with other functions to support rapid closure of issues utilizing analytical capabilities and communication skills.
