Job summary

Ontic Engineering and Manufacturing Inc. in Chatsworth, CA is seeking an assembler to build complex mechanical and electromechanical products from engineering drawings, specifications and work instructions.

You’ll work with Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality to ensure high-quality products, perform soldering and wiring, assembly, calibration and testing, and train less experienced team members as needed. This onsite role offers growth opportunities and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Hands-on mechanical/electromechanical assembly experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints or schematics.
• Experience with hand tools, torque equipment and measuring devices.
• Experience with soldering or wire termination is valuable.
• Attention to detail and safe work practices; good documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electromechanical products using drawings and work instructions.
• Install, align, adjust and fit components with hand tools.
• Perform soldering and wire termination as required.
• Support inspection, calibration and functional testing.
• Identify and troubleshoot assembly or test issues with cross-functional teams.
• Document quality and production data accurately.
• Mentor less experienced assemblers where appropriate.
