Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking an Accounting Specialist for an onsite role in the South Metro Twin Cities, MN area. The position offers growth opportunities and the chance to contribute to month-end closings and process improvements.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of accounting experience, with preference for manufacturing or construction experience, and familiarity with AP, AR, reconciliations, and month-end close. Onsite work with a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Manufacturing/construction industry experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with AP, AR, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Self-starter who can work independently and improve processes.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions (ie invoicing, credit cards, bank reconciliations, etc.)
• Assist in ensuring timely and accurate month-end reporting
• Support project lifecycles, including front end set-up, invoicing, and making adjustments as scope/billing changes
• Ensure accounting records and supporting documentation are accurate and complete
• Contribute to year-end audit preparation, including gathering schedules, invoices, contracts, and other supporting documents
• Follow up on missing receipts, invoices, and supporting documentation
• Help improve accounting processes and procedures as the company grows
• Pitch in across departments to help support your fellow teams, encouraging strong collaboration
