Job summary

Purple Wave Auction is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead a 4‑person team in a fast‑paced, high‑volume transaction environment in Manhattan, KS. You will report to the Controller and own accounting operations, including revenue recognition and treasury support.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Sales, Customer Service, Product, and Technology, with a hands‑on approach to financial reporting and system enhancements. A CPA/progress toward is preferred, and relocation support is available.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership duties.
• Experience closing monthly/quarterly/annual books and preparing financial statements.
• Strong Excel skills and financial modeling capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily and monthly accounting operations for high‑volume transactions.
• Lead a 4‑person accounting team and coordinate with Controller and stakeholders.
• Prepare financial statements, variance analyses, and management reports.
• Manage journal entries, reconciliations, and treasury interactions.
• Support budget, forecasting, and internal controls improvements.
