Job summary

Purple Wave Auction in Manhattan, KS, seeks an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee daily transaction processing and supervise a team of four accounting professionals. You will manage AP/AR, seller settlements, and treasury coordination while ensuring accurate ledgers and strong internal controls.

This role leads monthly closes, prepares financial statements, analyzes variances, and partners with the Controller to improve processes. Relocation and strong benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, with supervision.
• Experience with month-end close and financial statements.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and modeling.
• Knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• CPA or progress toward certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily transaction processing for high-volume auctions.
• Direct AP/AR activities, seller settlements, and reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate revenue, fees, and related entries.
• Lead monthly/quarterly/year-end closes and prepare statements.
• Analyze variances and present to Controller and peers.
• Improve accounting processes and system enhancements.
