Job summary

Cincinnati Reds is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead daily accounting operations, ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting, and strengthen internal controls. You will oversee audits, budgeting, month-end close, and reporting while partnering across the organization to drive process improvements and financial system enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 3-5+ years of management and supervisory experience.
• Experience leading external audits and maintaining internal controls.
• Experience budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Experience overseeing AP/AR and month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Accounting staff and daily accounting operations (AP/AR, cash management, reconciliations, month-end close).
• Manage all aspects of the annual external audit; coordination and documentation.
• Partner with Ticketing to ensure accurate accounting and revenue reporting.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and reporting requirements.
• Oversee accounting for two nonprofit entities; monthly statements and annual budgets.
• Develop and monitor internal controls and accounting policies; drive process improvements.
• Support future accounting system upgrades and automation initiatives.
