Connexion Systems & Engineering Inc. is seeking an experienced Accountant II for a growing finance team in Lexington, MA. This contract role focuses on general ledger, month-end close, and revenue recognition under ASC 606, with oversight of external consultants and cross-functional collaboration.

You will drive accurate financial reporting, A/R oversight, and process improvements while supporting NetSuite integrations for recently acquired entities; onsite schedule is 9am–5pm, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience with emphasis on GL, close, reconciliations, and revenue recognition.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606.
• Experience with revenue recognition in Software, SaaS, or Professional Services environments preferred.
• Proficiency with NetSuite and Microsoft Excel; SOX controls experience.

Responsabilités

• Support day-to-day accounting activities across multiple legal entities.
• Coordinate monthly general ledger close, including journal entries, financial statement review, adjusting entries, and reconciliations.
• Support revenue recognition under ASC 606, including complex, multi-element arrangements.
• Oversee accounting activities performed by external consulting team.
• Assist with NetSuite integration related to newly acquired businesses, including system and process changes.
• Oversee A/R activities and support collections.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and revenue reports.
• Perform monthly and quarterly SOX control testing.
• Partner with Operations, FP&A, Tax, and other teams to resolve accounting issues and improve processes.
• Assist with royalty calculations and reporting.
• Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives.
