Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred.
• 2–4 years manufacturing experience on same or similar equipment.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma, ASQ, ISO/SQF; continuous improvement is a plus.
• Ability to manage moderately complex issues and problems.
• Experience with cross-functional teams.
• Solid working knowledge of maintenance processes and related manufacturing.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Repair & maintain machinery, equipment, facilities, systems & grounds.
• Timely process work orders/requests, prioritizing most critical repairs.
• Work closely with maintenance, management, internal customers and other departments.
• Inspect and perform preventative maintenance including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and safety systems.
• Coordinate with specialists internal and external when more complex work is needed.
• Schedules maintenance, repairs and installations to minimize disruptions.
• Report on project status, schedules and changes to management and systems.
• Comply with Safety, Operational and Employment policies and practices.
• Ensure team follows 5S, quality, documentation and cleaning procedures.
• Seek out opportunities to improve manufacturing practices and solve problems.
• Train and mentor employees.
• Understand machine requirements for effective operations.
• Understand defects to assist in rectifying issues.
• All other duties as assigned.
