Job summary

Emerald Transformer in Waco, Texas is seeking a 1 Phase Padmount Repair Technician to join our Facility Operations team. You will repair 1 phase padmount transformers, estimate repair costs, and read customer specifications to ensure quality.

This on-site, full-time role runs Mon-Thu 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM with $20.00 hourly pay and weekly pay. You will operate forklifts/cranes and maintain a safe, efficient workstation.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Willingness to work in extreme heat and cold.

Responsibilities

• Repair 1 phase padmount transformers.
• Estimate repair costs of 1 phase padmount transformers.
• Scrap unrepairable units and pull shop cards.
• Read and comprehend customer specifications. Complete warranty and report analysis.
• Perform quality check on units before they leave the department.
• Use basic math skills to calculate amps and ratios of transformers.
• Meet repair and defect goals set by supervisor.
• Responsible for all shop equipment and tools in his/her workstation.
• Maintain safe, clean, and orderly workstation.
• Operation of forklift, overhead crane and other material handling equipment as needed.
• Work as a team with fellow associates to accomplish your objectives.
