Job summary

Oxy seeks an experienced Production Technician - PFA for the Onshore Resources & Carbon Management EOR Waterflood Asset located in Odessa, Texas. The role covers oil and gas well operations, testing, and field equipment maintenance with potential after-hours callouts.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting well locations, assisting with well tests, coordinating chemical treatments, and analyzing production data to identify efficiency improvements. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

5+ years oil and gas industry experience preferred.
High School Grad or GED required; some college or technical training preferred.
Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
Basic understanding of surface operations and downhole equipment.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and investigate failures on well location and perform minor repairs.
Shoe fluid levels on exception wells.
Monitor wells after pull for alignment and setup.
Collaborate with WOA & WOS on daily well exceptions.
Assist with well test evaluation and troubleshooting issues.
Coordinate well chemical treatment and cleanup operations.
Contribute to pulling jobs and input on process improvements.
Review reports to identify cost drivers and optimization opportunities.
