Job summary

Occidental Petroleum Corporation seeks an experienced Production Technician - PFA for our Onshore Resources & Carbon Management EOR Waterflood Asset in Odessa, Texas. You will oversee oil and gas well operations, perform testing, and maintain field equipment while ensuring safe, compliant practices in daily field activities.

The role requires reliability in a heavy industrial setting, strong problem-solving, and the ability to work in teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years oil and gas industry experience preferred.
• High School Grad or GED required; some college or technical training preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
• Basic understanding of surface operations and troubleshooting wells (ESP, Beam).
• Proficiency with computer tools in Windows environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate oil and gas well operations and testing.
• Maintain field equipment and facilities; supervise databases.
• Collaborate with WOA & WOS on daily well exceptions.
• Coordinate well chemical treatment and cleanup operations.
• Review reports daily/weekly/monthly for improvement opportunities.
