Job summary

Free Geek is seeking an Online Sales Associate in Portland, OR to list refurbished tech for sale and respond to customers via email, in person, and on eBay. This role blends retail experience with hands-on ecommerce research and sales in a mission-driven organization.

We offer full-time stability (40 hours/week), a Tue–Sat schedule, benefits including a 401(k), PTO, and health options, plus opportunities to learn and grow in ecommerce and tech sales within Free Geek.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand, walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience in retail or selling on ecommerce platforms like eBay.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain an orderly workspace.
• Excellent customer service mindset and work ethic.
• Proven problem-solving abilities and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Research and list refurbished technology for sale on eBay and other platforms.
• Respond to customer inquiries via email, in person, or through messaging systems.
• Provide trauma-informed care to community members visiting Free Geek.
• Prepare and contribute to monthly pop-up shop events.
