Job summary

University of Cincinnati College of Medicine seeks an Online Student Success Coordinator for UC Online. This hybrid role supports students and faculty involved in online courses, certificates, and degree programs.

You will coordinate administrative tasks, act as a liaison between college personnel and students, and help maintain strong student engagement and success metrics. You will work across enrollment, advising, and marketing teams to optimize program delivery, retention, and graduation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• Six (6) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
• Two (2) years of higher education advising or recruiting experience.

Responsibilities

• Build friendly, professional relationships with new and returning students from 1st term through to graduation to provide administrative and customer support for degrees/certificates.
• Monitor retention benchmarks and graduation rates using a CRM to identify at-risk behaviors and provide guidance to mitigate persistence issues.
• Share programmatic enrollment data and trends as a member of cross-functional teams.
• Work with Enrollment Advisors and UC Online Marketing to provide admissions support and program updates.
• Identify problems or inefficiencies and collaborate with leadership to implement resolutions and improvements.
• Monitor student satisfaction and coordinate problem resolution while maintaining professionalism.
• Escalate student retention concerns as needed.
• Perform related duties as needed.

Job Overview

UC Online is the University of Cincinnati's online division, bringing UC's nationally recognized programs to students who need the flexibility of online learning. We support students at every stage, from their first inquiry through graduation, with a focus on quality and innovation.

This is a hybrid role for candidates based in Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky. You'll need to live in the Cincinnati Tri-State area and be able to commute to UC's Main Campus as needed. Remote work follows university policy and is subject to change.

Provide administrative and logistical support to students and faculty immersed in online courses, certificates, and degree programs. Also provide operational support to students and faculty regarding educational program issues and serve as a liaison between college personnel, faculty, and new and returning students.

Essential Functions

• Using a consultative advising approach, build friendly, professional relationships with new and returning students from 1st term through to graduation to provide administrative and customer support for assigned degrees and/or certificate programs in the areas of registration, course selection, persistence risk, and online student success strategies .
• Using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform, monitor and work to improve retention benchmarks and graduation rates through early identification of at‑risk behaviors and provide guidance to mitigate student persistence issues, including such actions as personalized communication plans to ensure continuous enrollments.
• Share programmatic enrollment data and trends as an active strategic member of cross‑functional teams.
• Work closely with the Enrollment Advisors and UC Online Marketing to provide program updates and admission support.
• Identify problems or inefficiencies and work with the appropriate enrollment functional leader and/or College to implement effective resolutions and improvements.
• Monitor student satisfaction and coordinate problem resolution while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
• Escalate student retention concerns to immediate supervisor or administrator.
• Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.

Required Education
