Qualifications

• Terminal degree in the teaching discipline for graduate programs (minimum 18 graduate semester hours).
• Master’s degree in the teaching discipline for undergraduate programs (minimum 18 graduate semester hours).
• Experience in instruction or formalized education process; preferably post-secondary.
• Active, valid state licensure or certification as applicable.
• Teaching experience at South University or another post-secondary institution preferred; online experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and facilitate meaningful learning of course outcomes.
• Provide course instruction aligned with South University curricula and delivery style.
• Develop instructional plans and activities for online courses; deliver as approved in each course shell.
• Evaluate student achievement and set performance criteria and evaluation.
• Maintain learning-centered classroom environments and timely records and reports.
• Engage with industry trends and professional development to enhance instruction.
• Participate in curriculum/system tasks and campus events.
