Job summary

Qualifications

• Faculty teaching general education courses at the undergraduate level; doctorate or master's with 18 graduate hours in teaching discipline.
• Experience in instruction or formalized education process, preferably in a post-secondary institution.
• Membership in a professional association related to the teaching discipline preferred.
• Knowledge of university guidelines, course descriptions, and academic terminology.
• Office administrative procedures and accurate record-keeping.
• Basic computer skills including word processing and web browsing.
• Proficiency with the online learning environment and LMS.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to locate facts and information for learning.
• Effective interpersonal communication with colleagues and students.

Responsibilities

• Manage the educational process to engage students in a positive learning experience.
• Deliver instruction aligned with the university's curriculum and delivery model.
• Develop instructional plans and activities meeting course outcomes.
• Utilize technology to enhance student learning in the classroom and online.
• Set and assess student performance criteria and evaluations.
• Prepare for classes and support student success through flexible teaching styles.
