The Online Sales Consultant will respond to new home sales inquiries via phone calls, emails, web chats, and direct leads, directing pre-qualified prospects to the appropriate DSA (Designated Selling Area) for the Meritage Homes Division in Houston, TX. They will serve as the initial contact and local market expert for all new real estate agent leads, acting as the liaison between new homebuyers and onsite sales associates.
The Online Sales Consultant will be responsible for:
Education: Minimum High School diploma; some college or a Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Experience: Prior experience in internet sales, marketing, outside sales, or lead generation preferred; real estate license required if mandated by the state.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ability to manage web content, Salesforce experience preferred, softphone experience a plus.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, email, and phone skills; professionalism; influence and closing skills; team orientation.
Judgment and Mental Abilities: High integrity, attention to detail, self-motivated, organized, adaptable, and capable of prioritizing in a fast-paced environment.
Travel: Some travel to communities or division offices as needed.
Work Environment: Remote work setup required with high-speed internet and dedicated workspace.
Work Schedule: Typically 8:30 am – 5:30 pm, with potential for early or late hours, weekend work, and varying days off.
