Job description

Responsibilities

The Online Sales Consultant will respond to new home sales inquiries via phone, email, web, and chat, directing pre-qualified leads to the appropriate DSA (Designated Selling Area) for Meritage Homes in Houston, TX. They serve as the first point of contact and local market expert for all new real estate agent leads, acting as a liaison between new homebuyers and onsite sales associates.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Responding to internet leads and inquiries within 1 hour.
  • Engaging with chat inquiries during business hours.
  • Building rapport, answering questions, and providing information about energy features, community amenities, plans, and options to generate interest.
  • Managing leads using CRM software for follow-up and nurturing.
  • Scheduling appointments with sales associates.
  • Assisting real estate agents with unaccompanied tours.
  • Executing email drip campaigns via Salesforce.
  • Maintaining relationships with sales teams and participating in training and sales rallies.
  • Coordinating with marketing to ensure website and marketing accuracy.
  • Maintaining product and community knowledge, including community size, location, and market trends.
  • Providing exceptional customer experiences and following workflow processes.
  • Conducting outbound campaigns to current customers and realtors about events and new offerings.

Qualifications

Education: High School diploma required; some college or bachelor's preferred.

Experience: Prior experience in internet sales, marketing, outside sales, or lead generation preferred; real estate license required if applicable by state.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce preferred, experience with softphones advantageous.

Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills; professional demeanor; team player.

Judgment & Mental Abilities: High integrity, attention to detail, self-motivated, organized, and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Unique Requirements:

  • Travel to communities or offices as needed.
  • Remote work setup with dual monitors, high-speed internet.
  • Work hours typically 8:30 am - 5:30 pm, with some weekend work required.
