Job summary

Concorde Career Colleges seeks an Online Adjunct Instructor to teach Philosophy courses remotely, aligning with Concorde's curriculum and mission. You will prepare, deliver engaging online content, and support student success.

Responsibilities include three synchronous sessions per term, timely responses to student inquiries, and grading with rubrics within 72 hours, while maintaining accurate records. A Master’s degree and online teaching experience are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree from nationally or regionally accredited institution, in discipline of course.
• Master’s Degree with 18 course hours of graduate level courses in related subject areas which support curriculum content.
• At least 1 year of online teaching experience.
• Successful completion of the Concorde Online Facilitator Training course.
• Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others.
• Must be able to read and follow lesson plans or guides, present educational information to participants in a clear fashion, address questions or concerns and utilize effective training/instructional methods to reinforce learning.
• Access to personal computer, broadband Internet services, and other hardware/software as determined by the Dean of Online Learning and/or the LMS Administrator.
• Experience in Canvas (preferred).
• A minimum of two years online teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for teaching by ensuring sections are error-free, dates set, materials accessible, and course paired with tools.
• Teach assigned courses following approved curriculum and present material engagingly.
• Maintain an online classroom and provide three synchronous sessions per term.
• Respond to student communication within 24 hours and post interactions weekly.
• Grade assignments within 72 hours with rubric-based feedback.
• Evaluate student progress and report high-risk students to the Dean of Online Learning.
• Maintain accurate student records and post mid-term grades within 48 hours of week six start.
• Other duties as assigned.
