Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Extensive background and current work experience in the legal field as either a paralegal or attorney.
• Proficiency in instructional technology and online teaching tools.
• Current knowledge of subject area in paralegal studies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience designing/revising curriculum and assessing student performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update course syllabi with the DCE Business Programs Director as assigned and using approved syllabus template.
• Prepare and deliver online course materials and learning assessments in the assigned format.
• Utilize the Canvas Learning Management System as the course support platform.
• Communicate teaching objectives and learning outcomes to students and outline grading policies clearly.
• Evaluate student achievement of learning outcomes and assign grades.
• Post final grades to the transcript system by deadlines.
• Respond to student questions in a timely manner.
• Stay current with professional knowledge and participate in required orientations and training.
