Job summary

University of North Carolina Gillings School of Global Public Health seeks a section instructor to teach core and concentration MPH courses, including MPH@UNC online offerings. Instructors deliver live, online sessions weekly, grade work, and provide timely feedback while coordinating with lead faculty.

You will engage students, maintain office hours, and ensure alignment with the MPH core and concentration curricula across online and residential formats.

Qualifications

• Masters in public health required.
• PhD in public health or related field preferred.
• Significant work and/or teaching experience directly related to the course being taught.
• Experience with public health practice or research.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively manage group discussions.
• Strong writing skills with experience providing feedback on written assignments.

Responsibilities

• Teach core or concentration courses following a standardized syllabus.
• Lead weekly live sessions and engage students in discussions.
• Grade assessments and provide verbal and written feedback.
• Respond to student questions and issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain regular communications with lead faculty and program coordinators.
• Provide feedback on course materials and participate in program improvement.
