Job summary

Mountain Community Online School is seeking licensed teachers to serve as the teacher of record for online courses, delivering live lessons and monitoring student progress. Instruction occurs virtually, with several in-person travel days for state testing and events.

Candidates should hold a North Carolina teaching license, be comfortable with a coaching-based growth model, and excel in communication and collaboration with families and administrators.

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Preferred two years’ experience teaching.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor.
• Deliver live lessons via web conference based on student need.
• Complete course setup for each course within the LMS.
• Monitor progress in asynchronous courses and provide feedback daily.
• Travel to support required face-to-face state testing annually.
