Job summary

ACCEL Schools LLC is seeking an online K-12 teacher for Missouri residents to deliver live, web-based instruction. You will manage course setup, monitor progress in asynchronous courses, and communicate regularly with families while traveling for annual state testing.

Responsibilities include differentiating instruction, collaborating with the Principal on progress reports, and creating a positive classroom culture both virtually and in person during required events.

Qualifications

• Current State teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Preferred two years’ teaching experience.
• Ability to pass federal and state background checks.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Ability to manage confidential information.
• Capacity to stand for up to 90 minutes.
• Ability to supervise students in all school settings.

Responsibilities

• Serve as teacher of record and primary instructor.
• Deliver live lessons via web conference based on student needs.
• Complete course setup within the Learning Management System.
• Monitor progress in asynchronous courses and provide daily feedback.
• Maintain contact with each student.
• Collaborate with Principal on Progress Reports of Students.
• Review student data to inform instructional adjustments.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse needs.
• Utilize best practices in synchronous and asynchronous instruction.
• Create a joyful, caring classroom environment.
• Incorporate culturally responsive teaching.
• Support school-wide culture expectations and norms.
• Communicate regularly with families about academic and social-emotional growth.
• Integrate 21st-century technology in daily practice.
• Participate in non-instructional activities and attend events in person.
• Collaborate respectfully with colleagues.
• Travel to support face-to-face state testing annually.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
