Job summary

ACCEL Schools seeks a licensed teacher for an online, Oregon-based classroom role for the 2026-2027 year. The position requires delivering live and asynchronous instruction, setting up courses in the LMS, monitoring student progress, and maintaining regular family communication.

Travel for state testing and in-person events is expected several times per year. Candidates should be adept at data-informed instruction and culturally responsive teaching in a virtual setting.

Qualifications

• Current State teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Preferred two years' experience teaching.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to pass federal and state background checks.
• Experience working in a multi-cultural setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor in core content areas.
• Deliver live lessons via web conference based on student need.
• Complete course setup for each course within the LMS.
• Monitor progress in asynchronous courses and provide daily feedback.
• Track and maintain contact with each student.
• Collaborate with Principal to create Progress Reports.
• Review student data to inform instructional adjustments.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learners.
• Travel to support required face-to-face state testing annually.
