Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or post-bachelor’s in Education from an accredited college/university or meets Highly Qualified requirements per the AZ Department of Education.
• Valid State Teaching Certificate from any state; AZ preferred (endorsements may be required depending on instruction area).
• Background check with active DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card; professional verification of teaching performance or student teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Delivers instruction in reading, writing, spelling, language and vocabulary, math, science, social studies, technology, counseling, study skills, health, and other subjects.
• Adapts instruction techniques and curriculum to meet individual student needs.
• Maintains regular communication with parents/guardians regarding academics and behavior.
• Maintains consistent, reliable attendance as scheduled.
• Develops lesson plans and substitute plans aligned with learning objectives and school guides.
• Develops and analyzes ILP plans for students based on assessment data.
