Job summary

Commonwealth Charter Academy seeks an experienced High School Assistant Principal to lead instructional programs at a Wyomissing PA site. The role reports to the Principal and supports online-based instructional services for learners.

The position emphasizes collaboration with families, staff, counselors, and administrators to deliver high-quality education, equity in practice, and strong social-emotional supports across campuses.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Education, Special Education, or related area.
• Valid PA K-12 Principal Certificate (or in approved program to complete by end of 23-24 school year).
• Minimum of 5 years teaching experience, preferably in a public school setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional programs and oversee development, organization, and supervision.
• Promote innovative instructional practices and pilot new approaches.
• Foster a positive culture and capacity within designated teams.
• Lead professional learning initiatives and model growth for staff.
• Coordinate with School Improvement Team to drive district goals.
• Oversee staff objectives and school needs for long- and short-term planning.
• Conduct classroom observations and teacher evaluations per guidelines.
• Engage families and ensure regular communication.
• Participate in attendance, safety, and child services meetings.
• Support student experiences and special activities.
• Ensure compliance with enrollment, records, health, and attendance.
