TITLE: Online Learning Coordinator

DIVISION: Academic Affairs

DEPARTMENT: Distance Education

REPORTS TO: Chief Online Learning Officer

Summary:

The Online Learning Coordinator supports the Distance Education department by managing administrative tasks such as scheduling, payments, event logistics, budgeting, and communication. The role involves collaborating with department staff and supporting departmental operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee daily operations of Distance Education, including scheduling and managing supplies and budgets.
  2. Maintain and update course development status, alerting staff to issues.
  3. Assist with preparing and distributing communications, reports, and presentations.
  4. Support event logistics in collaboration with Success Coaches and academic units.
  5. Coordinate with student support services to enhance online student experience.
  6. Assist in onboarding and training new staff and contractors.
  7. Compile data and generate reports to aid decision-making.
  8. Provide general administrative support, including handling communications and supplies.

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree with 1-2 years of office experience or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience managing schedules, budgets, and office operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with virtual meeting tools.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Higher education administrative experience.
  • Familiarity with online education environments.
  • Adaptability to a dynamic work setting.

Salary ranges are $55,000 - $61,850 (NYC Metro) and $48,700 - $54,200 (National), subject to various factors. The position may be relocated at any time. St. John’s offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, tuition remission, retirement contributions, and access to campus amenities.
