Job summary

BookNook is seeking passionate educators for online math tutoring, starting Fall 2025, as independent contractors. Tutors will work up to 30 hours weekly from Columbus, OH, using the BookNook platform to conduct live sessions for K-8 students.

This role requires a commitment to provide effective instruction, manage student engagement, and create supportive learning environments, while leveraging previous teaching or tutoring experience.

The pay rate is $20 per hour, with a flexible schedule during weekdays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have access to a computer, webcam, and high-speed internet connection.
• Knowledge of best practices for intervention in mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual tutoring sessions using the BookNook platform.
• Manage student behavior and engagement throughout sessions.
• Maintain positive relationships with students.
