Job summary

Maine Maritime Academy invites applications for an adjunct graduate faculty member to teach a 9-week, 3-credit online course in Economics for Management Decision-Making for Fall 2026, Session 2. The course runs mid-October to mid-December and is delivered asynchronously with interactive tools and video.

The candidate will develop and deliver course material, manage the online course through discussions, group projects, and other assessments, and provide timely feedback to students.

Qualifications

• MBA or MS in economics, accounting, finance, supply chain management, or similar field and 5+ years of industry experience; PhD and 5+ years teaching in higher education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate-level course in Economics for Management Decision-Making as assigned by Department Chair.
• Develop, plan, and implement a high-quality curriculum.
• Prepare syllabus and lessons, maintain records of student progress and attendance.
• Participate in administering and grading exams, papers, and other assessments.
• Provide guidance and support to students and communicate progress in a timely manner.
