Job summary

The University of Southern Maine is seeking a part-time faculty member for an Economics position for the Spring 2027 semester, beginning January 19, 2027. The successful candidate will teach two in-person sections of Microeconomics and may teach additional Economics courses based on departmental needs and qualifications.

The instructor will develop, teach, and grade the course, use provided learning objectives, and meet with students as needed.

Qualifications

• A completed Master’s Degree in Economics.
• Previous teaching at the College level is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver course content for Economics: Microeconomics and Macroeconomics.
• Teach and assess student performance in assigned sections.
• Grade coursework and provide feedback to students; hold office hours as needed.
