Job summary

Kern Community College District is seeking part-time adjunct instructors to support online Business courses. The pool operates continuously, with qualified applicants contacted as needs arise for online instruction in a variety of business topics.

The successful candidate will teach courses such as Intro to Business, Business Law, Marketing, and Accounting, while developing curriculum and supporting transfer pathways.

Qualifications

• Master's in business, business management, business administration, accountancy, finance, marketing, or business education required.
• Or Bachelor's in any of the above and Master's in economics, personnel management, public administration, or JD or LL.B.
• Or Bachelor's in economics with a business emphasis and Master's in personnel management, public administration, or JD or LL.B.
• Or the equivalent as determined by the institution; submit an equivalence form with supporting documents.
• Degrees must be from accredited institutions; foreign degrees must be evaluated.

Responsibilities

• Teach a full range of Business courses including Intro to Business, Business Law, Principles of Management and Organization, Business Communication, Intro to Marketing, HRM, PM, Personal Finance and Managing Diversity in the Workplace.
• Participate in student recruitment and articulation of transfer programs for the Business department.
• Develop and revise curriculum; utilize computer and multimedia technology.
• Engage in collegial departmental and professional activities and maintain currency of subject matter.
