Job summary

Chamberlain University is seeking a BSN Program Mentor to support online nursing students throughout the BSN program, delivering Chamberlain Care through coaching, NCLEX readiness, and personalized guidance.

You will work with students individually and in small groups to assess learning styles, develop individualized plans, and provide ongoing outreach. The role includes virtual labs and faculty responsibilities as needed to support skill development.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing required.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a clinical practice setting.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in an academic environment supporting classroom instruction or in a specialized tutoring/support role.
• 1+ year of experience in online teaching, tutoring, or coaching within a prelicensure nursing program preferred.
• Excellent communication skills across phone, computer, and virtual platforms.
• Experience using Canvas LMS for course delivery and student engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive outreach and sustained mentoring to BSN students.
• Promote student success through coaching, encouragement, and accountability.
• Create and implement customized, student-centered support approaches.
• Build strong, supportive relationships with students to promote persistence and success.
• Demonstrate knowledge of NCLEX competencies and current nursing practice for exam readiness.
• Assist in NCLEX study plan development and workshops.
• Maintain documentation of student progress with academic leadership.
• Deliver limited instruction in various formats within the online BSN program.
• Maintain credentials to teach and assess in the virtual classroom.
