Job summary

Central Carolina Technical College is accepting applications to build an active pool of qualified candidates for Adjunct Faculty (temporary, part-time) positions. Serves as an adjunct instructor for Astronomy. Classes taught include Solar System Astronomy (AST 101) and Stellar Astronomy (AST 102). All Astronomy courses will be taught online. (Fall, Spring, and Summer).

Master’s degree in the teaching discipline; or Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in the teaching discipline or Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline.
• Experience teaching astronomy is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach Astronomy courses online, including AST 101 and AST 102.
• Develop and deliver online course materials for Fall, Spring, and Summer terms.
