Job summary

Minnesota Connections Academy seeks an Assistant Principal to work from home while reporting to our St. Paul office. You will collaborate with the leadership team to oversee school operations and support students, staff, and families across Minnesota.

The role requires leadership experience, strong data interpretation, and excellent communication. A principal license is preferred, with a healthful caseload and a competitive starting salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
• MN K-12 Principal License preferred.
• Relevant advanced degree is preferred, Education experience required.
• Ability to use and interpret data to understand student/teacher needs.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Technologically proficient (especially with Microsoft Office products).
• Experience in managing people is required.
• Must be able to use a personal electronic device and an email address for two-step authentication.

Responsibilities

• Work from home reporting to the St. Paul office and collaborate with the Executive Director.
• Manage all aspects of the school's operations with the leadership team.
• Oversee student success including attendance indicators, academic performance, and participation in the program.
• Act as instructional leader for families and staff.
• Recruit, hire, and onboard new teaching staff.
• Maintain local student records and reconcile data systems with state/local SIS.
• Stay current on state policies, procedures and legislation.
• All other duties as assigned.
