Qualifications

• Current State teaching license in appropriate content area
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards
• Two years teaching experience preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word/Outlook)
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to supervise students in all settings
• Pass federal and state background checks
• Experience in a multicultural setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor in all core content areas and grade levels
• Work to meet goals related to student achievement and accountability
• Deliver live lessons via web conference and asynchronous formats
• Complete course setup in the Learning Management System
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback daily
• Track and maintain contact with each student
• Collaborate with Principal on progress reports
• Review student data to adjust instructional programs
• Differentiate instruction for all students
• Integrate 21st century technology into daily practice
• Create a joyful, caring classroom environment
• Engage families regarding academic and social-emotional growth
• Travel to support in-person state testing and events
• Perform other duties as assigned
