LOCATION: 9000 Jamaica Ave S, Cottage Grove, MN 55016
JOB DUTIES: Work with cross-functional partners on projects that involve cost, quality, performance enhancements, product certification and line extensions. Duties include:
• Develop an in-depth understanding of our business and customers. Incorporate these perspectives to prioritize and initiate technical work
• Lead design initiatives with the ability to manage multiple projects and complete work within agreed upon timelines
• Bring innovative ideas for design enhancements, systems, or organizational processes
• Use a science-based approach and knowledge from engineering disciplines to solve complex technical problems with practical solutions
• Analyze, develop and implement holistic solutions, including exploring multiple concepts, supporting all viable alternatives with solid data and gaining cross functional support to implement recommendations
• Evaluate impact of proposed changes on the entire system, including other processes, products and materials
• Build strong internal networks with other technical experts and delivery partners
• Effective communication with all levels of internal and external customers and staff
• Deliver data analysis, conclusions and recommendations as significant input for technical and business decisions
• Responsible for providing design feedback to service, quality, or manufacturing partners
• Develop innovative customer-focused design concepts and solutions

REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or closely related field
• 18 months of work experience as Mechanical Engineer or closely related occupation
• During required experience, must have 12 months experience with the following:
