Job summary

The School District of Lee County is seeking an Instructional Support staff member (ESE, One-to-One) for Pinewoods Elementary School in Estero, FL. The role supports teachers, assists with individual or small-group student needs, and helps maintain confidentiality of student information.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and ParaPro exam or 60 college credits/Associate’s degree. Preferred: Associate’s degree and related experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and passing ParaPro exam.
• 60 credit hours or an Associate's degree from an accredited institution.
• Knowledge of and ability to use instructional technology and general policies.
• Familiarity with FERPA and privacy requirements for student records.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instruction with students individually or in small groups under supervision.
• Prepare instructional aids and use technology as directed.
• Reinforce positive learning and behavior with students.
• Help students develop study skills toward instructional goals.
• Support parental involvement activities.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
• Perform related clerical and recordkeeping duties.
• Adhere to safety procedures in all tasks.
• Provide support in a computer lab, library/media center, or learning facility.
• Assist in implementing a student’s IEP where needed.
• Translate if able and appropriate.
• Monitor student behavior in cafeteria and campus locations.
• Assist with Medicaid administrative claims as directed per SDAC guidelines.
