Job summary

The School District of Lee County in Fort Myers, Florida seeks an Instructional Support, ESE to assist in the instructional process and support students with individualized attention. You will work under supervision of instructional staff and help implement teacher plans and classroom activities.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent with ParaPro, or 60 college credits/Associate's degree, and may consider related experience in place of formal qualifications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and passing score on ParaPro Exam.
• Or completion of 60 credit hours or an Associate's degree.
• Relevant work experience may substitute minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the instructional process with students individually or in small groups.
• Assist in preparation, organization, and use of instructional aids and technology.
• Reinforce positive learning and behavior patterns with students.
• Support students in developing study skills for instructional objectives.
• Assist in confidentiality and comply with privacy laws and policies.
• Provide clerical and recordkeeping support as directed.
