Job summary

Arrow Center for Education School seeks an One-to-One Aide to support teachers in implementing IEP goals for assigned students. You will supervise a student, provide individualized instruction, and help maintain a positive classroom culture.

Responsibilities include ensuring safety, documenting progress and attendance, and assisting with transportation when needed. Training and collaboration with the Treatment Team are expected to support student success.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children and families, preferably in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe learning environment for students within school policies.
• Supervise and manage student behavior in the classroom, school, and school-sponsored functions.
• Provide a consistent and reliable supportive presence in the classroom.
• Escort assigned students to all activities, as indicated by the IEP.
• Under the direction of the Teacher, provide individualized instruction and support to an assigned student or small group.
• Utilize a variety of teaching strategies to promote progress for an assigned student or small group.
• Provide an individualized learning environment and support independence.
• Assist in documenting student progress, attendance, and behavioral data.
• May transport students to and from school and activities.
• Participate in community-based activities alongside students when relevant.
