Job summary

Arrow Child & Family Ministries is seeking a One-to-One Aide to assist teachers in providing services specified in IEPs for assigned students. This role requires supervising specific students, maintaining a supportive atmosphere, and ensuring their educational needs are met.

The position calls for experience working with children and families, with responsibilities including individualized instruction, behavior management, and participation in community activities to promote student independence

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience working with children and families, preferably in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe learning environment for students.
• Supervise and manage student behavior in various settings.
• Provide consistent support in the classroom.
• Escort assigned students to all activities as per the IEP.
• Provide individualized instruction and support to students.
• Utilize various teaching strategies to promote student success.
• Assist the Teacher with student progress records.
• Support students in transport to and from school.
• Participate in community-based activities with students.
• Communicate relevant information within the classroom.
• Assist in developing a positive school culture.
• Maintain student safety and security.
• Attend trainings and meetings as required.
