Job summary

Horseshoe Trails Elementary School in Cave Creek Unified School District 93 seeks a Paraprofessional to provide one-on-one support for a student with special needs. The role requires 18+ year olds with a high school diploma or equivalent, knowledge of SPED basics, and CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of special education basics highly preferred
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred
• Computer skills required

Responsibilities

• Assist SPED teacher in developing student goals and objectives.
• Reinforce the student’s social and behavioral skills inside and outside the classroom.
• Gather data and report to SPED staff and parents.
• Participate in IEP meetings as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality per FERPA policies.
• Complete computerized MIPS forms monthly.
• Monitor and redirect student behavior as needed.
