Job summary

Horseshoe Trails Elementary School in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Paraprofessional HTES to support one elementary student within a dedicated special education program. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of two years of higher education or an associate degree or State Paraprofessional Academic Assessment.
• Knowledge of special education laws and best practices is desirable.
• Good written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist special education teachers and staff in providing an individualized program for one student.
• Reinforce social and behavioral skills inside and outside the classroom.
• Attend IEP meetings as necessary and modify materials for students.
• Gather data and report progress to staff and parents.
• Maintain confidentiality in line with FERPA policies.
